EASE T1D Partners with
Penn State Extension and the
Better Kid Care Program
EASE T1D is excited to announce that we have partnered with Penn State Extension Better Kid Care to sponsor 100 certificates of completion for the Diabetes Awareness and Management for Young Children online module.
Better Kid Care's On Demand system provides online professional development courses. All Better Kid Care Online Demand courses are accepted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing as professional growth activities to meet professional growth requirements for renewal of California Child Development Permits.
The 2-hour Diabetes Awareness and Management for Young Children module will teach you to 1. Define the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, 2. Identify potential warning signs of type 1 diabetes in young children, 3. Explore the basic essentials of diabetes care and management in young children, and 4. Examine supports and resources for families and caregivers of young children with type 1 diabetes. This online module is available in both English and Spanish. To get started please visit:
